1.1 Shipbuilding in China and Korea
(1) Providing feasible shipbuilding offers in China and Korea.
(2) If the Client desires to build the ship in Korea, it must ensure that the identity involved is non-sanctioned.
(3) For shipbuilding contracts made between the Client and a Chinese shipyard, more than 20 Korean engineers will be dispatched for ship auditing services.
(4) In the case of Chinese shipbuilding contracts, the design and shipbuilding methods and technology will be controlled by the Consultant's dispatched Korean engineers, who have more than 20 years of experience in major Korean shipyards.
1.2 Selling of Ship Design in Newbuilding**:
The Consultant will provide designs for new buildings of the following types:
(1) Bulk Carrier
(2) Crude Oil Carrier, VLCC, VLGC
(3) Container Carrier
(4) Chemical / LPG Carrier
(5) Floating Dock
(6) Others which mutually discussed and agreed.
(a) Conceptual Design :
Initial design concepts and layout planning.
(b) Detailed Engineering :
Comprehensive design specifications, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping systems.
(c) Design Review and Approval :
Ensuring designs meet regulatory standards and Client requirements
(d) Production Drawing :
Subject to the Client’s designation of the yard, production drawing shall be provided based on designated yard’s facilities condition.
1.3 Procurement and Supply Chain Management
(1) Material Sourcing :
Identifying and sourcing high-quality materials and components.
(2) Supplier Evaluation and Selection :
Assessing and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, and cost.
(3) Logistics Planning :
Coordinating the delivery of materials and equipment to the Client’s designated area or place excepting sensational area.
1.4 Project Management
(1) Project Planning :
Developing detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines.
(2) Risk Management :
Identifying and mitigating risks associated with shipbuilding projects.
(3) Cost Management :
Budget tracking, cost control, and financial reporting.
1.5 Construction Supervision
(1) On-Site Supervision :
Monitoring construction activities at shipyards for accommodating the delivery schedule as per shipbuilding contract.
(2) Progress Reporting :
Regular updates on construction progress and milestones.
(3) Issue Resolution :
Addressing and resolving any issues that arise during construction.
1.6 Retrofit and Repair Engineering
(1) Retrofit Planning :
Developing plans for retrofitting existing ships with new technologies or equipment.
(2) Repair Solutions :
Providing engineering solutions for ship repairs.
(3) Cost Estimation :
Estimating costs for retrofitting and repair projects.
1.7 Environmental and Sustainability Consulting
(1) Green Shipbuilding :
Advising on environmentally friendly shipbuilding practices.
(2) Energy Efficiency :
Improving energy efficiency in ship design and operation.
(3) Emission Control :
Implementing strategies to reduce emissions and meet environmental regulations
